Wendy raymer


Wendy Raymer is a Director in the U.S. Community Affairs department for BMO Financial Group. In this role, she is accountable for the execution of BMO’s corporate philanthropy strategies and initiatives within the U.S.

Wendy has fifteen years’ experience developing effective Corporate Social Responsibility programs, including strategy development, budgeting, nonprofit funding, impact measurement, leadership reporting, marketing and communications, team management and employee engagement.

With expertise in strategy, collaboration, leadership, and governance, Wendy is a valued resource for civic and nonprofit partners looking to create impact. In her advisory capacity, Wendy has provided guidance and resources for organizations and individuals in the social impact sector. Her work has ranged from region-wide initiatives, such as the Chicago Community Trust’s On The Table and ecomonic development programs, and the Cook County Commission on Social Innovation, to more targeted activities such as gala committees, panel discussions and program development.

With a wide range of experience in the corporate, nonprofit, civic and entrepreneurial sectors, Wendy continually looks for opportunities to collaborate and serve. She is currently on the board of Instituto del Progreso Latino chairing the Business Development Committee, and also the Social Enterprise Alliance Chicago Chapter. Wendy has participated on various committees with organizations such as the Chicago Community Trust, American Red Cross of Greater Chicago, Inspiration Corporation, Chicago House, and the Cara Program.

Wendy earned a BA in History from University of Illinois at Chicago. Originally from Manitoba, Canada, Wendy has been living in Chicago for over twenty years, currently in the Roscoe Village neighborhood. She and her husband enjoy participating in the rich cultural, culinary and communal activities the city provides.
